TO GOD

"Then Jesus again spoke to them saying,

I am the light 0f the world;

         he who follows me

willl not walk in the darkness,

but will have the

Light of life.'" 

John 8:12

It is easy to get discouraged.

Every day we have new problems, as well as the likelihood of failure. Once we let ourselves get on that pathway, the discouragement often continues, even to the extent that it gets worse.

May I suggest that you find your Bible, open it and go to Psalm 27. As you read, ask God to help you understand what you are reading. Ask Him to speak to your heart and being you to a new, renewed outlook. Ask Him to help you believe in Him, not in some mystic imagination but as He is revealed in Scripture. Ask Him to help you believe and clingue to His Word.

Thank Him for being there for you. 

WHEN GOD HUMBLES YOU

When God humbles you

     it is not so He can drown you in an ocean of despair,

but that He may bless you

and enable you to benefit from His unrelenting mercy. 

As the sower softens the soil to receive the precious seed,  

God tempers you for His use,

that He may yield in you

an abundant harvest of blessing.

"Come, let us return to the Lord,

For He has torn, us, but He will heal us."

Hosea 6:1
