"Unto thee lift I up mine eyes,
O thou that dwellest in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants
look unto the hand of their masters,
and as the eyes of a maiden
unto the hand of her mistress;
so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that He have mercy upon us."
As servants we approach worship,
hungry and in need of being fed.
We are often discouraged by the failures of the church
and the rampant evils in the world.
Let us with patience and submission
await the Holy Spirit's
that lifts us up to God.
Let us submit our wills
to God's wise ordering and maintaining everything in our lives.
Contentment is not about
rearranging every situation to your liking.
It is taking pleasure in how God works everything out for His own glory,
while trusting Him with the circumstances,
whether you like them or not.
The contented person looks up to God in all things,
not downward at the means so as to say a certain person did this or that,
or certain situations were unreasonable.
Find your contentment in God today.
Thank Him that He is in control
and knows your needs.
Take His yoke upon you and learn of Him. He is gentle and humble.
Find your rest and worship in Him.
