Finding Hope, Not Hope - So, For Your Soul
Finding Hope, Not Hope - So, For Your Soul

 What benefit is it to be a Christian anyway?

Does everyone have the same benefits?

How do I know what the benefits are?

Psalm 103 answers that question:

Bless the Lord, O my soul;

And all that is within me,

bless His holy name! vs 1-2

Here is a laundry list of benefits that belong to you:

Found in Psalm 103:1-5

IF you are a child of God,

having trusted in Him alone for salvation,

realizing you are a sinner and in need of a Savior;

understanding and being convinced that life apart from Him is sin and misery - meaningless;

having enlightened your mind and heart in the truths of God's Word

so as to trust Him alone for salvation - for your very life....

then the following benefits are yours:

Psalm 103:1-5

He forgives all your iniquities

He heals all your diseases

He redeems your life from destruction

He crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies

He satisfies your mouth with good things,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

I love these verses.

When my husband and I walk in the mornings

I go down the list and think about each sentence.

Then I thank God for all He has done for me in living a perfect life, and dying on the cross to pay for my sins so I can enjoy all the benefits He has for me.

Read them, hold them dear to your heart

and enjoy them for yourself.
