"For I have heard the slander of many,
terror is on every side!
While they schemed together against me,
they plotted to take my life.
But I trusted, relied on, and was confident in You, O Lord;"
(Psalm 31:13,14) Amplified Bible
Slander is hard to endure. It leaves almost no way for you to defend yourself.
However, it gives you an opportunity to be confident in the Lord and say what David said:
'You are my God.'
You don't need top try to gather up all the attacks, the backbiting words, or even the defamily of your name.
Let it go.
"Just think of Him who endured from sinners such grievous opposition
and bitter hostility against Himself - reckon up and consider it all
in comparison withyour trials - so that you may not grow weary
losing heart and relazing
and fainting in your minds."
