"Not to us, O Lord, not to
us,
but to Your name give
glory
because of Your
lovingkindness,
because of your truth.
Why should the nations
say,
'Where, now, is their
God?'
But our God is in the
heavens;
He does whatever He
pleases.
Psalm
5:1-3
Dear Reader,
it does not matter that you
understand
neither the reason for
nor the purpose of your
duty,
even after you have accomplished
it.
The result of your obedience is in the hands of God, who
blesses whomever He will.
He transforms hearts as He
chooses.
He turns even the winds and waves in the direction that most
suits His divine purpose.
He ministers to your every
need.
He enlightens your spirit so that your pathway is
plain.
He answers your prayers.
He gives you joy, hope and peace of
conscience.
He enables you to
persevere.
He keeps you from
stumbling.
He forgives your sins.
He lovingly brings you back to Himself when you wander away
from Him.
He disciplines you.
He strengthens you through
testings,
and draws you close to Himself fhrough
grief.
Scripture is filled with the love-keeping of the Lord
Jesus.
If you live in Me - abide vitally united to Me
-
and My words remain in
you
and continue to live in your
hearts,
ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you.
John 15:7 (Amplified Bible)
Jesus acknowledged before His father that He was keeping His
beloved children.
Jesus didn't say, "I have left them to do as they
please."
Jesus is keeping you no matter the strength of your will.
You may decide to do this or that, but it is He who directs your steps (Proverbs 16:9).
If He were not keeping you, you would not be
kept.
Meditate of God's intimate omnipresence and omniscience,
expressed by the psalmist David.
"You have enclosed me behind and
before,
and laid your hand upon
me.
Such knowledge is to wonderful for
me:
It is too high, I cannot attain to
it.
Where shall I go from Your
Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your
presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are
there;
If I make my bed in
Sheol,
behold,
You are there.
If I take the wings of the
dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the
sea,
even there Your hand will lead
me,
and Your right hand will lay hold of
me"
(Psalm 139:5-10).
