Finding Hope, Not Hope - So, For Your Soul
Finding Hope, Not Hope - So, For Your Soul

                 God's Friendship

"I will sing of Your mighty strength and power;

yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy and

loving-kindness in the morning;

for You have been to me a defense - a fortress and a high tower -

and a refuge in the day of my distress.

Unto You, O my Strength, I will sing praises;

for God is my defense my  fortress and high tower,

the God Who shows me mercy and steadfast love. "

Psalm 59:16 Amplified Bible

God's friendship is Rich and Superior to All Other Friendships!

I grew up on a farm.

Dad milked the cows every morning and night.

Then he brought the milk to the house where Mother

 put it in a cool place to sit for a while,

so the cream would rise to the top.

She later skimmed off the cream and saved it for delicious uses.

 The  rich component that surfaces in the nourishing milk

of God's word is His everlasting friendship.

It is the confident assurance

that arises in our relationship with Him.

God's everlasting, covenant friendship is the ongoing connection between God,

the Creator, and us, His creatures.

This friendship provides

the source and the avenue

for every blessing that flows to generations of believers.

It links us together

in pleasurable enjoyment for all eternity.

God's gift of friendship weaves hope

through the lives of Christians

from every race and nation.

While it is a sweet and gentle mercy,

it is also a powerful defense.

His friendship is our strength

and refuge

in the day of trouble (Psalm 59:16-17).

What do you say about God's friendship?

You may say that you go to church.

But is that enough to bless your heart

and direct you along the right road

that God has outlined for you every day?

Read His Word!

Believe it!

Claim His promises of friendship.

And if you have trouble

believing what you read,

ask Him to help you!

It's just that simple!

And it's just that wonderful!

Whom do you have in heaven but God?

And besides God, whom else do you desire on earth?

When your flesh and your heart fail,

can you say

"God is my strength of my heart

and my portion forever"? Psalm 73:25,26
