Finding Hope, Not Hope - So, For Your Soul
Finding Hope, Not Hope - So, For Your Soul

"As each of you has received a gift

(a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment),

employ it for one another

as [befits]  good trustees

of God's many-sided grace - faithful stewards of the extremely diverse [powers and gifts granted to Christians by] unmerited favor."

(I Peter 4:10 Amplified Bible)

A common idea, which is not exactly true, is that anyone can be anything he or she wants to be.

Just as you do not possess every spiritual gift and ability known to man, neither does anyone else. You are especially blessed as a trustee of God's grace in particular areas, so you can employ your uniqueness to glorify and enjoy Him

(I Corinthians 10:31).

If you do not know what your gifts and abilities are, ask God to show you.

He promises to give you wisdom (James 1:5).

Then ask Him to help you use

those gifts and abilities for His glory.

"And whatever you do - no matter what it is - in word or deed,

do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus

and in [dependence upon] His person,

giving praise to God the Father through Him."

(Colossians 3:17 Amplified Bible).

If something is missing in your life

and you feel you would like to know the Lord Jesus better and better,

may I suggest the following?

Open your Bible to the Book of John

(found in the New Testament)

and begin reading as you can.

Try to read a little every day, if possible.

As you read ask God to open your eyes and your heart and your understanding to His truth.

Ask Him to bless you and give you faith to believe and receive His truth into your heart and understanding.

Consider Reading these Bible verses:

1.Recognize your sins: (I John 1:9).

2. Turn from your sins: (Acts 3:19)

3. Trust in Jesus as your Savior: (Acts 16:30).

4. Ask Him to save your soul and give you His precious gift of salvation. (Matthew 11:28;

John 7:37; John 6:37).
