Finding Hope, Not Hope - So, For Your Soul
Finding Hope, Not Hope - So, For Your Soul

Even in the days of COVID

Peter the Apostle and our brother in Christ reminds us that

"The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears toward their prayers, and the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."

I Peter 3:12

"Behold, God is my helper;

The Lord is the sustainer of my soul."

Psalm 54:4

Even in these days of COVID, God's Word remains true. He never fails to be righteous and wise in all that He does and all that He brings about in our lives and in the world.

God is actively directing the current events - though He is not often recognized.

God keeps satan on His own divine leash and uses evil for good. Satan can do nothing on his own without the will and power of God.

God is a gentle and good Father to His people, yet He does bring correction as needed, and many will, no doubt, experience this loving correction in these times.

God is watching and listening to our prayers and cries. As He is the God of all comfort,

He is the all-caring God.

God helps His children in ways

we often don't expect.

And sometimes we don't

realize what He has done for us

until some time later.

God remains against those who are wicked and who in these times are acting out of evil - even if their evil is unrecognized or if this evil is called good by certain people. God is in absolute control over it all.

With God's comfort and confidence, we can live in Christ and for Christ and His kingdom - we can live as we are called

and empowered by the Spirit and by His Word.

The times of Covid can be faced with the Word of God. Dread and fear can be overcome.

We can conquer fear and we can stand against evil, foolishness, and unjust government, whether religious or civil or institutional.

God's people have stood strong in times of adversity throughout history. God's people have been the light of the world and in the world.

The times of Covid are in the hands of God to do whatsoever He pleases,

and wherever He pleases,

and with whom He pleases.

Study His Word, submit your life and heart to Him, pray for yourself and pary for one another. Wait upon Him for His will.

Let the times of Covid be the times where Christ is more precious to you and you are more committed to Him than you have ever been before.

 God says:

"If you abide in Me,

and My words abide in you,

ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you"

(John 15:7)

"This is the confidence we have before Him, that,

if we ask anything according to His will,

He hears us

(I John 5:14).
