" Do not let your heart be troubled;
believe in God,
believe also in Me."
Dear Christian, don't let your mind
and heart rush into the "what if's"
of troubled thinking.
Search the Scriptures
for specific promises that give you comfort.
Trust in and rely on those promises,
especially when your mind wanders away from
"Whatever is true, whatever is honorable,whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute,
if there is any excellence,
and if anything worthy of praise,
dwell on these things."
If you trust God even when you are sad,
I believe you will begin to rejoice in Him after a while.
Doubt breeds worry, and so does stress.
Confidence creates joy.
If you trust in God, trust what He has said in His Word
whether you feel like it or not.
"Father, thank you that your Word says:
Your anger is but for a moment,
Your favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night,
but a shout of joy
comes in the morning"
"The hope of the righteous
shall be gladness"
"Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling,
and to present you faultless before
the presence of His glory
"You have made known to me
the ways of life;
you shall make me full of joy
with your countenance."
"God giveth to a man that is good in his sight
wisdom, and knowledge, and joy:
but to the sinner he giveth travail,
to gather and to heap up,
that he may give to him that is good before God."
"My lips shall greatly rejoice
when I sing unto thee;
and my soul, which thou hast redeemed."
"Let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice:
let them ever shout for joy,
because thou defendest them;
let them also that love thy name
be joyful in thee."
( Psalm 5:11)
