"Do not let your heart be toubled,
believe in God, believe also in Me."
Dear Christian, don't let your mind and heart rush into the "what ifs" of fear and troubled thinking.
Pondering the "what ifs" never benefits us.
In fact, it keeps us from casting our care
while trusting in Him.
Search the Scriptures for the precious promises you need.
Commit them to memory.
And every time you get into an emotional, mental
wrangle set you mind on God's promise instead of being afraid.
If you're like me you get into all kinds of troubled thinking way too often.
It's easy to do and before we know it
we are way down the wrong road in our minds, letting thing come and go
without our control.
Consider Philippians 4:8:
"Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, think on these things."
Take your thoughts captive, don't let just anything
push its way into your mind and heart.
And how do we do that?
First. begin every day in prayer and study of God's Word.
We should focus on His right pathway.
Consider 2 Corinthians 10:5 that says we are to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
Also, consider the fact that God has said He has not given you a spirit of fear but of power of love and a sound mind.

We must learn to put down our feet upon the promises of God's Word. When I am troubled, afraid, need hope, help...whatever, I go to a particular promise that deals with my situation.
Then I "lay my soul" - so-to-speak upon that promise.
I believe it. I pray it back to God.
"Father you have said you
are with me wherever I go.
I am trusting that now. Help me to rest in your assurance.
God asks all of us, His children, to obey Him.
If we disobey, disbelieve and disassociate ourselves from Him we will not
reap the blessings He has stored up for us.
If you are afraid, clingue to the promise that says "What time I am afraid I will trust in thee." Psalm 56:3
Ask Him to help you trust in Him, to quiet your soul and wait upon His great power in your life.
Also, "God has not given me a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
His Word is true.
It is historically true and true in its application to one's life, one's heart,
and to everything in the universe.
If you do not know the God of Scripture, and you desire in your heart to turn from sin and follow Him in everything you do, cry out to Him. Ask Him to give you a new heart, one that loves Him and desires to follow Him in everything you say and do. Repent of your sin.
Open His Word. As God to help you believe it and apply it to your life.
(Repentance is a change or reversal of mind - a conviction of sin, a deep desire to obey God and follow Him at all cost.)
Ask God to help you recognized specific sins in your life and cry out to Him to strip those sins away from you.
Trust in Him today. Reject the darkness of sin that is all around you
and specifically the sin that dwells in your heart.
Look to and depend upon God's divine revelation, and the pure light of the Holy Spirit leading you into His truth.
